Hi,

I've got a bunch of ISO-files. Some load fine when adding them as Virtual DVD, but some not. They give the errormessage 'Installation of virtual device failed' where-as they in Daemontools load fine.

I noted also that nrg-files (renamed to ISO) don't work either.

What can be the problem?

Biggest problem - NRGs are not ISOs. And you cannot just rename them.

Which ISOs work and which don't? Exactly?

Well too much to mention but I do remember that in the past I sometimes renamed nrg's to iso to get them recognized by Daemon Tools and that works actually. In that case not a big issue, was just wondering why they caused errors in Starburn.

Thanx for clarifying.

Daemon Tools don't care about extension. They have own NGR header parser and also native NRG support. We - don't.
