Hello all:

As the subject line says, starburn runs extremely slow on my Vista-32 Box. It's a Core 2 2.4Gig with 4 gigs ram.

The program starts up fine, and the actual CD burning process runs smoothly and at a normal speed. But when I start one of the wizards, it takes what seems like an eternity for the program to finish scanning my system for devices.

Then it lets me add files or images or whatever, and then another few minutes go by before it actually begins burning.

So it looks to me like something is going wrong somewhere...

Anyway, let me know if you want any logs or more information. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is not normal (sic!). Please start with sending us information about what other apps are installed and running and what CPU usage is during StarBurn run (Task Manager shows CPU usage per process). Please send this information to and we'll proceed with the investigation. Thank you for cooperation

I sent that information to that email address. It looks like the problem was that Starburn doesn't play well with NOD32 Anti-virus, at least on my machine.

If anyone's interested, adding the starburn folder (in Program Files) to NOD32's Real-Time filesystem exclusions list solves this problem.
